Recently I headed out to Hilton Head. Planning on walking towards part of my 62 mile charity walk. However the rain came down hard. It usually doesn't stop me, but the proximity of the lightning strikes was of concern. I found safe shelter at one of my favorites on Coligny Beach, The Sand Bar.


I like The SandBar because they keep it simple. Their menu is beachy and has something for everyone. There's plenty of outdoor seating and lots of indoor airconditioned seating as well.


Cool music, at a comfortable volume. And a very friendly staff.


I had the smoked salmon sandwich, fries and some dessert after. It was perfectly prepared. Cold stuff was cold and the hot stuff was hot.


Super fun restaurant!
